The N4 Napkin Press is used to foil stamp graphics, text and logos onto
4-ply beverage and luncheon size napkins.
Combining
an automatic napkin feeder with a 1-Ton pneumatic hot stamp head, the N4 runs
at a fixed speed of
1,500 napkins per hour.
Featuring a 4" x 4" print area, the N4 is used by wedding and party suppliers to
personalize 4-ply paper napkins in low to mid volumes.
The napkins are fed
through the machine using a combination of suction and friction feeds.
Beginning in the
self-levelling napkin hopper, about 100 napkins are placed on the hopper tray.
As the napkins are fed from the top of the stack, the tray automatically rises to
keep the napkins at the correct height to the feed arm.
The feed arm houses
2 suction cups. As the arm contacts the napkins, the suction cups pick
the napkin up, and drop it onto the print platen.
On the platen,
the napkin falls against 2 registration guides that position the napkin for
printing.
Discharge & Stacker :
Once foil stamped, the napkin is rolled away from the print area and deposited
onto a conveyor belt.
The belt quickly
accelerates the napkin, shooting it out into a loose stack on the receiving
tray.
Foil Feed :
The N4 is equipped with an
automatic foil feed that advances the foil between print cycles.
Adjustable from 1" ~ 4", rolls of
foil up to 1,000 feet long are mounted on the foil unwind.
The foil passes below two
collapsible foil guides.
As the head releases from the print cycle, a
micro-timed air blast separates the napkin and foil.
A take-up roll rewinds the used foil behind the
print head
Print Head :
A t-ton pneumatic
print head delivers ample stamping power. The power is efficiently
distributed by the print head's dual-ram system that evenly disperses the
pressure across the 4" x 4" print area.
An adjustable
pressure control enables the operator to apply more or less pressure with a
simple twist of the adjustment knob.
Control Panel :
The control panel features a
touch-sensitive screen to adjust :

Stop
A
separate temperature control, hopper up / down switch, and emergency stop button
complete the system.
Chase :
The
chase is inserted into 2 rails that sit on the bottom of the print head.
Sliding the chase into the lower rail centers the chase to beverage-sized
napkins, while the upper rail centers it to luncheon sized napkins.
