Description :
The E4-NB
automates the high volume hot stamping of flat plastic components like name badges,
frames or small signs. Running at a top speed of 3,600 impressions per hour,

Printing Process :
Parts
begin their journey through the E4-NB by being stacked into a vertical column.
From the bottom of the stack, a shuttle grabs the part and steps it forward
to run beneath a set of guide tracks.
The part is stepped forward until pushed under the print head. Here, the individual badge is
registered to its' top-left corner
and then hot stamped. |
 |
|
During the next cycle, the part is pushed away from the print head, and then
discharged onto an incremental conveyor belt. They
can now be restacked into trays for additional colour applications, engraved, or packaged. |
 |
|
|
Adjustable Track System :
A set of
self-centering tracks allows the operator to adjust the tracks for different
part sizes. Forward and backward adjustments allow for differences in the
part length.
Minimum
Part Size :
1" x 1" x 1/8"
thick
Maximum Part Size : 4" x 6" x 1/4" thick |
 |
|
|
Multi-Colour Printing :
Multi-colour designs can be produced by running the parts through a second or
third time for each additional colour.
The E4-NB is uniquely able to hot stamp tightly registered, multi-colour graphics
thanks to a unique registration system that registers each badge to it's own
corner. The benefit of this system is that each badge is individually
registered to itself. The result is that registration stays constant, even
if parts vary in size from one to another.

|
|
Die Making :
The E4-NB is equipped with Malahide's Snap Chase System ( See:
Chases
). This spring-loaded clip accepts 11 Pt. magnesium dies cut to 2 X 3".

Print Engine
:
One
central CAM mechanism supplies mechanical power to the entire machine. Smooth
and precise, all bearings and parts are purposefully oversized to ensure long
life and durability. The E4-NB
generates up to 8 tons of pressure, more than sufficient power to produce
dazzling foil stamped graphics.
An
all-electric machine, the E4-NB uses an electric motor as its power source, not
pneumatics like most other hot stamping machines. This means that
with the E4-NB, you don't need a high-end air compressor, plus you eliminate
100% of the many inherent issues of pneumatic equipment. Furthermore, the
E4-NB runs cleanly and quietly, making it suitable for use in a home or office setting.

Print Head :
A flip over printhead reveals a standard 2
X 3" Snap Chase. The top of the chase is equipped with a
levelling
screw at each corner that enables you to adjust for a level print. The print
head is pulled down by all four corners, further ensuring that all 5 tons of
pressure are evenly distributed throughout the impression area.

|
Control Box
:
The control Box of
the E4-PK features the following electronic controls:
|
 |
|
All electronic components are
brand-name and solid state. A modular control box design allows for quick repair in the
unlikely event of a component problem. |
 |
|
|
Foil Feed :
The E4-NB's standard foil feed
accepts foil rolls up to 1,000 feet long, wound on a 1" core.
|
 |
|
The foil feed offers adjustable
spacing between images. To maximize foil consumption, the E4-NB can pull as little
as 1/8" between 1" images. |
 |
|
|
It's a Great Machine!
The E4-NB has been designed for
the specific purpose of automating medium to long runs of flat plastic parts.
Designed with the professional in mind, most experienced operators are able to
run the machine competently with a minimal amount of training. Able to
justify it's purchase price on production efficiencies alone, the E4-NB is the
ideal solution to long-run hot stamping jobs.
